Conditions of Participation

The Bike Ötztal prize game is an open competition. Participation is free of charge. Persons aged 18 and over are allowed to participate. Employees of Ötztal Tourismus and their families are not eligible to participate.

Participation in the prize game takes place via the website www.oetztal.com/oetztal-radweg or via surveys on the Ötztal Cycle Trail. In order to participate, the e-mail address and the name of the participant must be given. Participation in the prize game is free of charge. The competition begins on 20 July 2022 and ends on 15 September 2022. The winner will be drawn on 20 September 2022. The winner will be chosen at random and notified via e-mail.

You can win two overnight stays for two people in a Bike Home Ötztal incl. breakfast and a one-day tour on the Ötztal Cycle Trail. Ötztal Tourismus is responsible for selecting and reserving accommodation. The winner is not entitled to choose any specific accommodation. The competition prize must be redeemed in the 2023 summer season and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. A transfer to other persons is not possible. The winner can renounce the prize. In this case, the prize will be randomly awarded among the participants who are entitled to take part in the prize game.

The prize game is not affiliated with Meta and is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by Meta. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded.

Ötztal Tourismus has the right to change a competition period at any time and without prior notice or to end a competition without notice, e.g. if the functionality of the systems is restricted for technical or other reasons independent of Ötztal Tourismus or if there is a suspicion that a participant attempts to influence the results of the prize game.

1. The organizer shall not be held liable for any errors in the transmission of data, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of participants’ data, technical failures of any kind, damage to a participant's or any other person's computer resulting from participation in the prize game.
2. The organizer is liable without limitation if the cause of the damage is based on intent or gross negligence.
3. Subject to availability, the organizer is liable for the slightly negligent breach of essential obligations, the breach of which jeopardizes the achievement of the purpose of the contract, or for the breach of obligations, the fulfillment of which is essential for the proper execution of the prize game and on the observance of which the contractual partners regularly rely. In this case, however, the organizer is only liable for the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. The organizer is not liable for the slightly negligent breach of obligations other than those specified in the preceding sentences.
4. The above limitations of liability do not apply in the event of injury to life, body and health, for a defect after the assumption of quality guarantees for the quality of a product and for fraudulently concealed defects. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
5. Insofar as the organizer's liability is excluded or limited, this also applies to the personal liability of the organizer's employees, representatives and vicarious agents.

1. The organizer collects and uses the data of the participants for the purpose of the prize game to be carried out. Any further collection and use of personal data will only take place if the participants consent to it.
2. The following participants’ data is collected by Ötztal Tourismus and used to carry out and process the prize game: gender, first and last name, date of birth, country, e-mail address.

4. Upon request in writing or in text form, the participants can request information from the organizer at any time about which personal data is stored by the organizer, they can also request their correction or deletion and revoke data usage consent. In case of questions about the collection, processing or use of personal data, or if detailed information, correction, blocking or deletion of data is necessary, the participant should contact us by e-mail: dsb@oetztal.com. The revocation must be sent to: dsb@oetztal.com

Any recourse to courts of law is excluded. Public law applies.
