2591 meter high Wetterkreuz summit makes an ideal destination for sporty hikers. This unique vantage mountain can be climbed either from Wörgetal or via Bielefelder Hütte or Acherbergalm and (dilapidated) old Bielefelder Hütte. Experienced mountaineers can make the tour even via Mittlere Scharte ridge. Also the Sellrain hut to hut loop hike (Tour 2) leads through the Oetz Region - a stop along the demanding round with many peak conquests is Bielefelder Hütte in the Hochoetz pasture region.
