Choir and Clarinet Ensemble from Ischgl
For the now traditional Palm Sunday Passion Concert, the organizing association has invited the Sängerrunde Ischgl this year. This choir, founded in 1986 and well-known far beyond the Tyrolean Oberland region, currently consists of 43 active members of various ages. They regularly perform at both religious and secular events in the community, and their repertoire is correspondingly diverse. It ranges from traditional and classical pieces to contemporary choral music, spirituals, and gospels.
The choir is conducted by Michael Wechner and his wife Fabienne, who is already well known in Oetz from several performances with "EchtStark." On Palm Sunday, the choir will be accompanied by a clarinet quartet composed of four young, talented musicians from the Ischgl town band.
The musical program will span from Baroque compositions to modern choral works. This Passion Concert, featuring one of Tyrol’s outstanding choirs, promises once again to be a memorable experience – all in the unique setting of the Parish Church of Oetz.
