Electric and without hectic
Top modern electric bicycles are available quickly and easily within the whole Ötztal valley, so that every biker can reach his personal best! Many sport shops are e-bike rental points at the same time. They provide you with everything you need for a zero-emission and noiseless nature exploration on two wheels. What's best, at all official rental points you will find the same bicycle models and technical standards: batteries can be changed or charged in all E-Bike Stations between Oetz and Obergurgl.
You don't like to use a bus or hut taxi which takes you to the hike's starting point? No problem! Simply rent an e-bike and get ready for a splendid sporty day. Pedaling uphill on your e-bike is the best warm-up for the next stage, a scenic hiking tour to one of the valley's countless peaks. Many huts and mountain inns in the surroundings of Längenfeld and Umhausen offer covered parking lots for e-bikes: here you can leave your bike the whole day. And after a challenging peak conquest you return to the valley on two wheels without aching joints. E-biking and hiking truly makes a perfect combination.
In close vicinity to the Inntal Cycle Path leading towards Imst or Innsbruck with almost no change in elevation.
A quite sporty ascent to lake Piburger See, which will be rewarded with picture-book landscapes and a refreshing dive into the swimming lake.
In Umhausen e-bikers are strongly recommended to visit the ultimate Ötzi Village, a journey back to Neolithic times, or the cascading Stuiben Falls, Tirol's biggest waterfall.
Leisurely e-biking with a nice stop over and a hearty snack at Feuerstein or splendid relaxation at the Aqua Dome thermal spa temple. Well-being at its finest!
Truly sporty challenges for e-bikers are scheduled – one thing is for sure: Rettenbach Glacier's sport stadium makes a perfect destination.
Ideal spot for a mixed double: mountain bikers cheek by jowl with e-bikers on their way to gorgeous Rofenhöfe Farms – the Alps' highest, permanently settled mountain farms.
In Obergurgl you should not miss out on a ride with the mountain lifts beyond 3000 meters altitude: uninterrupted panoramic views of North and South Tyrol included.
