BREITLEHNER (2.793 m)

Level of difficulty:Easy
Trailhead: Hochsölden (2090 m)
Ascent: Ascent via Pollestalele valley towards the saddle at 2,774 m - then across the snow ridge and past the rocky trail in direction of Breitlehner peak (2,793 m).
Ascent, elevation gain:700 m
Distance: 1,8 km
Downhill skiing: Following the ascent towards Wildoppen - back to Hochsölden.
Downhill skiing for experts: Right on top of the summit you head southwards - then you ski down the eastern cirque (approx. 40°) via Hoachebene area back to Hochsölden or across Höll cirque down to Sölden.
Downhill, change in elevation:     700 - 1,400 m
Time required: about 4 hours

   
LINKER FERNERKOGEL (3.278 m)
Level of difficulty:    Intermediate. Glacier experience and a state-of-the-art Alpine equipment (crevasses!) are absolutely required for this tour.
Trailhead: Rettenbachjoch saddleback (2,988m), located at Rettenbach Glacier.
Ascent: Downhill ride along the glacier snout to Karlesferner glacier field at approx. 2,900 m - ascent via Hängender Ferner glacier up to the summit of Linker Fernerkogel 3,278 m.
Ascent, elevation gain:700 m
Distance: 3,4 km
Downhill skiing: Heading northwards from the peak down to Felsinsel area 3,175 m - then eastwards in direction of the ridge at 3,155 m - downhill past Mittelbergferner glacier field down to approx. 2,640 m - ascent towards Karlesferner glacier and back to Rettenbachjoch saddleback. Alternative: skiing down the ascent route.
Downhill, change in elevation: 750 m
Time required: about 5 hours

   
POLLESTAL - SILBERKAR - SONNENKOGEL (3.170 m)
Level of difficulty:    Intermediate
Trailhead: Top terminal of Einzeiger quad chair lift (2,763 m) in Sölden.
Ascent: Ascent via Pollesmauer wall (2,900 m) - downhill ride across the northern cirque down to the lake - following Pollestal valley down to approx. 2,400m - ascending again via Silberkar saddle to the southern ridge of Sonnenkogel peak: there you find the ski storage area - further on along the southern ridge in direction Sonnenkogel summit (3,170 m).
Ascent, elevation gain:970 m
Distance: 3,2 km
Downhill skiing: Via Silberkar ridge and Pollestal valley to Sattelalm mountain hut - down to Huben (1,190 m).
Downhill, change in elevation: about 2,500 m
Time required: 5 - 6 hours

   
WILDSPITZE (3.774 m) - HÖCHSTER BERG TIROLS
Level of difficulty:    Difficult. Glacier experience, state-of-the-art Alpine equipment (crevasses!) and surefootedness are absolutely required for this tour.
Trailhead: Top terminal of Mutkogl T-bar lift at Tiefenbach Glacier (3,200 m).
Ascent: Downhill skiing or descent via the steep ridge in northern direction to Mittelbergferner glacier down to approx. 2,900 m - ascent via Rofenkarjoch saddle (3,320 m) towards the north-eastern ridge of Wildspitze peak (3,770 m).
Ascent, elevation gain:870 m
Distance: 5,4 km
Downhill skiing: Depending on snow conditions: via Mitterkarjoch saddle down to Vent (1,896 m), change in elevation 1,870 m - or via Taschachferner glacier down to Pitztal valley (1,740 m), change in elevation. 2,000 m. Glacier crevasses!
Downhill, change in elevation: 1,870 - 2,000 m
Time required: 6 - 7 hours
