GLACIER SPECTACLE IN SÖLDEN
Friday, 24 April 2009, 7:30 pm
A truly avant-garde theater play will be performed once again on Sölden's scenic Rettenbach glacier stage, showing the historical crossing of the Alps of the Carthaginian army on their way to Rome in a modern setting. Snow-grooming machines act as elephants. Skiers, climbers and parachutists are modern warriors. Riders cross the glacier fields on their skidoos while flight acrobats try to hinder them. Additionally, the entire spectacle features varied light effects, music, video and pyrotechnical shows.
