ALPINE PANORAMA TRAIL: TIEFENBACH GLACIER - VENT

Outstandingly beautiful panorama trail leading to high Alpine regions between 2800m and 1900m above sea level. Trailhead is the car park at Tiefenbach Glacier. Surefootedness is required for this easy hiking trail. In the event of inclement weather it is strongly recommended not to make the tour as there is no possibility to interrupt the hike down to Venter Tal Valley.

HOCHSTUBAI PANORAMA TRAIL

from Timmelsjoch Pass (2474m) to Brunnenkoglhaus Refuge (2738m)

The trail starts at Rasthaus Timmelsjoch Inn (2474m) and leads northwards, past several little ponds, to three breathtaking steep-walled mountain basins: Weitenkar, Rötenkar and Unteres Wannenkar.

Proceed on the steeply rising and quite challenging trail up to Wannenkar Saddle (2916m). At the top there is a rewarding view of the scenic Ötztal and Stubai Alps.

The outstandingly beautiful view of the crystal clear Wannenkarsee Lake is another highlight not to be missed.The footpath takes you right along the ridge to Wilde-Röte-Spitze Peak (2966m) where you have already reached the highest point of the panorama trail. Continue heading to Rotkogl Peak (2849m) where the Sölden Schützen Association installed a summit cross, featuring also a guest book and an individually designed stamp.

Via Hinterer and Vorderer Brunnenkogl Peaks you get to Brunnenkoglhaus Refuge (2738m) where Bruno Prantl, the host himself, will spoil you with traditional Ötztal delights. The challenging parts of the trail dispose of steel ropes. At least, the ascent from Brunnenberg Alm Hut down to Sölden takes approx. 2.5 hours.
