Embedded in a scenic nature preserve at 915m above sea level you find the picturesque Piburger See lake, one of Tirol's warmest swimming lakes with temperatures up to 25°C in summer.
The surrounding area along the lakeshore boasts a whole range of marvelous walking paths leading from or to Sautens, Ötz, Habichen to Piburg. A perfect alternative also in bad weather! A lakeside restaurant with a large terrace offers everything a thirsty hiker could possibly desire.
A car park is available as well.
Fishing permits can be purchased at the village administration building in Oetz.
