The hiking tour across the scenic high Alpine glacier world of the upper Ötztal valley leads from Obergurgl 1900m via Ramoljoch col 3200m to the mountaineering village of Vent 1900m. Uninterrupted panoramic views of the Ötztal Alps are guaranteed along the whole route.
The glacier flea march of Obergurgl and Vent is one of the very special challenges for any alpine hikers. Due to the high alpine glaciers of the Ötztal leads back to the tradition of its participants march up high on the 3,200-meter Ramoljoch.
40 years ago organized the Ski Club of Obergurgl and Vent together for the first time the Ötztal glacier flea march. 2012, the participants walk from the square in Obergurgl (1,930 m) up to the first checkpoint at Ramolhaus (3,006 m). This 7 km long rise follows an approximately 2 km long stretch on the way up to 3,200 meters above sea level Ramoljoch. From here we descend towards long plane (2.583 m) and finally to the finish to Vent (1,900 m).
